I stand aside,

A hopeful look,

At the passing people,

Imagining they would,

Give me alms,

As I am a beggar

    Good poems both. Try to pack a punch in the last lines as you have in the first lines.

    u know i personally never give money or "chutta" to beggars...
    i try and give in food...maybe a bun or somthing..!
