The wayside elms are all my loving grannies
They draw me to their trunks
And hug me hard
With their thousand weathered arms

Pls explain me the theme of this poem.
It is simple. I feel that the old elm trees by the way side are my loving grandmothers. They, I feel draw me to their trunks and hug me with their weather-beaten branches. I am just trying to express my love for trees.
